Casey Sterns

Casey Sterns, CSO (Chief Spaniel Officer) of 4Paws was born in Napa, CA on September 12, 2016. As the largest pup in a litter of ten, he was labeled “Not Show Quality.” Rather than being discouraged by this heinous process of “Breed Profiling,” he was determined to see the world south of Napa.

At ten weeks of age, he united with Dr. Sterns as a ride along companion and food tasting consultant, and was promoted to CSO in January of 2017. Although spending 24 hours a day with 4Paws, he still has bouts of separation anxiety when Dr. Sterns leaves the room.

Casey’s favorite activities include sleeping, begging for food, and smelling trees, bushes and sidewalks. He also enjoys chasing cats, birds, squirrels and just about anything that moves. On Sunday morning, he can often be seen sprinting up and down Maverick’s beach in Half Moon Bay looking for dead, smelly things to roll on.

After a nice morning of gulping salt water, exploring rotting carcasses and chasing sticks, he prefers to have lunch at the Half Moon Bay Brewery where he belly crawls under neighboring tables to clean up fallen French fries.
